Step 1: The required tools and materials are to be collected. For the replacement of an LG 4H00982E Damper, a pair of safety glasses, a Phillips screwdriver, a hammer, a flat-head screwdriver, a torque wrench, and a new LG 4H00982E Damper will be required.

Step 2: The power supply to the unit is to be disconnected. It should ensure that all power sources are completely turned off before commencing work on the unit.

Step 3: The unit is to be accessed and the damper is to be identified. On the side of the unit, a panel will be secured with multiple screws. The Phillips screwdriver is to be utilized to remove these screws. Then, the panel is to be opened to find the LG 4H00982E Damper.

Step 4: The damper is to be extracted from the unit. With the hammer and the flat-head screwdriver, gentle taps are to be made around the perimeter of the damper until it is dislodged from the unit.

Step 5: The new damper is to be positioned. The new damper is to be aligned with the old one, ensuring it fits securely in position. Once aligned, the torque wrench is to be applied to tighten the screws.

Step 6: The panel is to be reinstalled and the unit is to be secured. After the new damper is installed, the panel is to be reattached and fastened back in place. Finally, the unit is to be closed and the power supply is to be restored.
