Step 1: The washer should be disconnected from the electrical outlet and the water feed should be turned off.

Step 3: The top panel should be elevated and the wiring harness that links it to the control board should be detached.

Step 4: The existing door lid lock & latch assembly should be extracted.

Step 5: The new W10404050 door lid lock & latch assembly should be inserted into the designated position. It should ensure that the mounting holes are correctly aligned.

Step 6: The new assembly should be fastened using the provided screws.

Step 7: The wiring harness should be reattached to the control board of the washer.

Step 8: The top panel should be reinstalled and secured using the screws.

Step 9: The washer should be reconnected to its electrical power source and the water supply should be activated.

Step 10: The functionality of the new W10404050 door lid lock & latch assembly should be verified to confirm it operates correctly.
