Description

The Whirlpool W11396709 is an indispensable part for gas dryers, functioning as a thermistor and gas inlet all-in-one. This replacement part is critical in controlling the drying temperature and providing safe gas flow. The thermistor component functions as a temperature sensor. It is located near the gas inlet and monitors the temperature of the dryer drum. This data is subsequently sent to the dryer's control board.The control board regulates the gas flow via the access point based on measurements taken from the thermistors. If the temperature inside the dryer reaches the correct level, the control board adjusts the gas flow to keep it there, minimizing overheating and potential clothing damage. Alternatively, if the temperature is too low, the gas flow is increased to achieve adequate drying  level.
