Description

The Whirlpool W11568640 Range Knob is a heat controller that is used to regulate the amount of heat in the appliance by manually adjusting the appliance settings. Step 1: The refrigerator's power cord is disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The upper part of the control knob is elevated to detach it from the stem on the control panel.

Step 3: The screws that fasten the control panel to the refrigerator are identified. The screws are taken out, then the panel is lifted upwards and off the refrigerator frame.

Step 4: The retaining nut located on the bottom side of the control panel is unscrewed, then the shaft of the old knob is extracted directly from the panel.

Step 5: The new Whirlpool W11568640 KNOB is placed into the control panel. It is ensured that it is completely inserted.

Step 6: The retaining nut is reattached to the underside of the control panel and is tightened by hand.

Step 7: The control panel is positioned back onto the refrigerator frame and the screws are reinstalled.

Step 8: The top of the control knob is placed back onto the shaft. It is confirmed that it securely snaps into position.

Step 9: The refrigerator is reconnected to the power outlet.

Step 10: The knob is rotated to the preferred setting and the refrigerator is allowed to cool.
