Step 1: The power to the appliance containing your GE control timer should be deactivated at the circuit breaker or fuse box.

Step 2: The timer's mounting screws should be extracted and the old timer should be removed from the appliance.

Step 3: Your new WE4M533 GE Control Timer should be taken, and the jumper wire adjacent to the motor connections located at the top of the timer should be detached.

Step 4: It should be verified that any exposed wires are insulated with tape to prevent contact with one another. This precaution will aid in minimizing the risk of electrical shock or fire.

Step 5: The corresponding wiring from the old timer should be attached to the new timer.

Step 6: The new GE Control Timer should be fastened using the mounting screws that were removed previously.

Step 7: The power supply to the appliance should be reestablished and it should be reactivated at the circuit breaker.

Step 8: After the power has been restored, the timer should be cycled through its functions to confirm that all settings operate correctly.
