Whirlpool WP74010857 Range Spark Switch
Description
The Whirlpool WP74010857 is a vital aspect of your gas range, particularly the spark ignition mechanism. It can be considered a single pole, single throw switch, indicating that it has two terminals and governs the flow of electrical current in one direction. When you turn the knob on your range to ignite a burner, this switch finishes the wiring and delivers a jolt of electricity to the igniter. The igniter then produces a spark, lighting the gas flowing from the burner valve. This simple switch offers a secure and reliable lighting experience for your gas stove. Updating an incorrect spark switch is fairly straightforward and may often be performed by requiring you to contact an expert for assistance.
