Step 1: The power cord should be disconnected from the Whirlpool washing machine prior to starting the replacement of the WP8268743 WHEEL.

Step 2: The appliance should be gently tilted at an angle and firmly supported with a wooden block or a similar object.

Step 3: The lower access panel situated at the base of the machine should be detached by removing the two screws at the front.

Step 4: The drive motor along with the transmission components should be identified.

Step 5: The belt should be unhooked from the motor by disengaging the tension lever.

Step 6: The four bolts that secure the wheel to the motor should be taken out.

Step 7: The new WP8268743 WHEEL should be carefully installed in place of the old one.

Step 8: The motor components should be reassembled sequentially, ensuring the belt is correctly positioned around the new wheel.

Step 9: The four bolts should be secured and the lower access panel should be reattached.

Step 10: The power cord should be reconnected to the washing machine and it should be switched on. The machine should now function normally.
