Step 2: The rear panel of the freezer section should be taken off by unscrewing the fasteners located inside the freezer.
Step 3: The defrost thermostat situated on the evaporator coil behind the rear panel should be identified.
Step 4: The screws that hold the thermostat in place on the evaporator should be removed and it should be gently extracted.
Step 5: The wiring harness should be detached from the existing thermostat and subsequently connected to the new unit.
Step 6: The new thermostat should be fastened using the same screws and the rear panel should be reassembled.
Step 7: The refrigerator should be reconnected to the electrical outlet and the water supply should be reactivated if it was turned off.
Step 8: Time should be given for the refrigerator to cool down and it should be verified that the temperature regulation is functioning correctly.
